Terms of Service for "Voice Control for C-Bus (unofficial)"

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account, linking the Alexa skill, or using the configuration website (https://cbus.merrick.cam) and the associated Alexa skill (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

This is an unofficial, third-party service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Clipsal or Schneider Electric.

2. The Service

The Service provides a method for you to control your personal C-Bus home automation system via the Amazon Alexa voice service. This requires you to provide your C-Bus Network Interface (CNI) address and upload a C-Bus project file to identify your devices.

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account, which is identified by a unique, randomly generated Account Number. You are responsible for safeguarding this number. You agree not to disclose your Account Number to any third party.

4. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, attempting to gain unauthorized access to the server or other user accounts, interfering with the operation of the Service, or using the Service for any illegal purpose.

5. Disclaimer of Warranty

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The creator of this Service does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, viruses, or other harmful components.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE CREATOR OF THIS SERVICE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, LOSS OF DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service.
• Any bugs, errors, or inaccuracies in the software.
• Any unintended operation or failure of your C-Bus home automation system or connected devices (including lights, switches, thermostats, or other hardware) resulting from the use of the Service.

You acknowledge and agree that you use this Service and connect it to your home automation system entirely at your own risk.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms of Service on this page. By continuing to use the Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
